Youth Tours of the Rowlett Police Department

The Rowlett Police Department officers building tours to youth groups (Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, etc.) as a community service. Due to a high volume of these requests spanning multiple days of the week, the following changes have been made:

Police Department tours will be offered on the first and third Tuesday of each month, from 5pm until 8pm. Tours usually last 1 hour, which means there will be a total of three tours each scheduled day for a total of 6 tours per month

Please be aware that you MUST schedule these visits, as there will not be an officer on site for the sole purpose of conducting tours. If you wish to have your YOUTH GROUP tour the police department, contact Community Services Officer Erick Mitchell at or 972-412-6242.

National Night Out

National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances. The state of Texas and select areas celebrate the first Tuesday in October.  If you and your community have any questions or you are interested in signing up for this year's National Night Out event, on October 3, 2023, please email Officer Erick Mitchell.
