Alan Mallach is a Senior Fellow at the Center for Community Progress in Washington DC, and a lecturer in the graduate city planning program at Pratt Institute in New York. The author of The Divided City: Poverty and Prosperity in Urban America, he is widely known for his research, advocacy and engagement with the challenges of urban and suburban neighborhoods around the United States.
