MYGOV

The City of Rowlett uses an online plan and permit system MYGOV. It will be necessary to register for this program in order to upload plans and receive permits. Our third-party also participates with this platform,

Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Permits

Please submit your Sprinkler, Fire Pump, and Fire Alarm plans to our online permit program MYGOV:

Submit application and electronic plans directly to our MYGOV account. Once the plans are reviewed, a non-permitted draft set will be transmitted to the applicant. The Fire Marshal city-approved set and a permit will electronically follow upon receipt of fees.

Note: All new installations of fire suppression systems that utilize the city’s potable water supply shall have an approved reduced pressure detector assembly (RPDA) installed. 

Chemical Fire Protection Systems

All plans are to be submitted electronically to the fire department for review. A device layout, system specifications, and State of Texas Department of Insurance registration and license are to accompany the submittal. Oversized and specialty systems may require third-party review. Submit the electronic submission below or here.
