The Senior Advisory Board is comprised of seven regular members appointed by the City Council who serve staggered two-year terms and two alternate members appointed by the City Council annually.

Duties and responsibilities of the Senior Advisory Board include providing participation by local senior citizens in municipal government and to routinely report to the City Council the conditions and needs of seniors within the community. The Board shall propose and make recommendations concerning matters of importance to the senior citizen population of the City.
The Senior Advisory Board has 12 meetings per year. In addition to the monthly meetings, members also serve as volunteers at various events throughout the City as representatives of our seniors.

We’re looking for committed residents willing to volunteer a few hours of their time each month to serve on a board or commission.
