Who is responsible for screening walls??: Recreation Department does some screening walls and Public Works does some screening walls, therefore the quickest way to get information is to call the Rowlett Action Center at 972-412-6100 or email at actioncenter@rowlett.com and you will be directed to the staff person who can assist.

1. How do I get in touch with Go Link transportation and where is the service area?: You can reach Go Link by calling 214-452-1827 or visit the website https://www.dart.org/riding/golinkrowlett.asp

2. How do I sign up to receive weather alerts and other emergency information?: Click on the “Notify Me” icon on the homepage (https://tx-rowlett2.civicplus.com/list.aspx ). There, you may sign up for the Alert Center and News Flashes that include Emergency Alert and Police New Press Releases.

3. When and how often does Code Enforcement come around neighborhoods?: Code Officers patrol the neighborhoods Monday through Saturday from 7:00am to 5:00pm. It is helpful if citizens report any code violations to the Citizen Action Center at 972-412-6100 or https://www.ci.rowlett.tx.us/1663/Action-Center. Visit www.ci.rowlett.tx.us/118/Code -Enforcement or call 972-412-6283 for more information about the City of Rowlett Code Enforcement department.

4. If sidewalks are needing repair, can an outside company be called instead of going through the City to facilitate the repairs?: Yes, you may use an outside company, however, you must have a permit and the project must pass inspection. It is best to contact the Rowlett Action Center at 972-412-6100 or email actioncenter@rowlett.com and you will be directed to the staff person who can assist you and provide information on the process.

Is there a home repair volunteer group for seniors for gardening, painting, and AC service?: Dallas Area Agency on Aging offers safety repairs for seniors such as handrails, safety bars, ramps, etc. They will not do such things as painting or other cosmetic repairs. 7. Where can seniors go to learn more about Medicare?: Contact Dallas County Agency on Aging at 214-871-5065 or visit the Medicare website at www.medicare.gov.

8. Where can I find information on affordable senior housing?: Visit Rowletthfc.org (an email will be required to receive information).

9. Does Rowlett have any affordable senior living communities?: Evergreen Rowlett Senior Community is located at 5611 Old Rowlett Road. More information can be found at www.evergreenrowlett.com or call 469-421-0100. Lakeview Pointe Senior Living is located at 7500 Lakeview Parkway or visit https://lakeviewpointetx.com. Both of these welcome seniors, age 55 and above who remain independent.
